I ♥ Faces- Sunflare

Oh the sunflare images I have!!  Too bad most of them dont have FACES in them... which, is kinda important on I Heart Faces!!  But, I did find this cute one of my hubby leaning out of the train on our recent trip to the mountains! I wish I knew more about editing tho!  To all of those out there who are wonderful contributors to I Heart Faces, how would you have edited this photo?  I havent done much to it (just a lil softness to the leaves)!  Thanks!!

I ♥ Faces - Completely Candid

I LOVE this picture of Madi!  Her daddy was helping her climb the rope and she finially got the hang of it and he let go and she kept climbing, finially realizing that she was VERY high and Daddy couldnt help her anymore.  At this point I think Mike was teasing her and telling her to figure it out, he was going to take a nap!  The look is priceless to me, becuase I see that she is thinking, ok, knock it off daddy, I know your going to help me, so just do it now!  And I KNOW she had no idea I was taking the picture becuase I had the honkin zoom lense on trying to take pictures of birds on the other side of the park!!!  I captured this little birdie instead!!

I Heart Faces

@ www.iheartfaces.com the theme this week was contemplative.  I went through scores and scores of pics to try to find a really good pic that reflected the theme.  When I finially foudn the top one, I thought it was such a nice pic and i remember that moment so well.  I was sitting at the piano just thinking about the Lord and playing some simple melody and humming along.  I was really "contemplating" His goodness and I was being thankful.  (It was Thanksgiving morning).  Mike snapped the pic without me realizing what he was doing!!  He told me when he thinks about me, this is very often the picture that he sees, me sitting at the piano with the sunlight coming in and me and Jesus sitting side by side.  Am I blessed to have him as a hubby or what!?

The second picture is for the animal part of this week.  Its a baby zebra following close behind his momma.  Its so sweet!  And those stripes are amazing!!!  I love his little spikey hair... I picture this guy as a little boy with a mohawk following momme, but being tempted to run off in the feidl with the other little boy zebras!  (Yea, I have an imagination... a big crazy one! lol!)

Adult Entry

My adult entry was hard to find!! Its hard to get pictures of people laughing!! When you pull out a camera, people tend to tighten up. But, on Easter Sunday, we were having a fun photo shoot, and Angel said something silly and she made me CRACK up!!! Then she started laughing too, and thats when my wonderful husband snapped this great picture!

Kid Entry

Its difficult to get natural pictures of Madi-Potomus too... as soon as the camera is out she tries to act "cute", which results in weird and forced pictures, but with some persistance and lots of goofy jokes and funny faces, you can usually coax a real laugh from her. This was our Christmas family shoot, and it was getting long, but I managed to snap this one right at the end!

This is a picture that is largely unedited. When Zack saw this one, he asked for it to be more dramatic, so I edited it to bring out the grain of the wood and the contrasts.

The "Deal"

Ive have ALWAYS been interested in photography. I credit most of my interest to my aunt who has albums upon albums of photos all steadily taken with her old camera. She taught me to use it when I was a young teen and I borrowed it quite often from that point on.
I have won a few awards for some of my photos, my first award was during my junior year and it was a national fine arts festival.
Awards or no, I love photography. I love capturing MOMENTS! I love looking at a picture and seeing a memory, a moment. I enjoy seeing the delight on someone's face when they see themselves as I saw them through the lens.
For a few years now, I have been taking pictures for friends and family members. Capturing those moments. Senior pictures, family photos, baby pics, all occasions!! I love to do this. Its always fun, always involving lots of laughs, and usually some great shots!
I say allllll that to say this: I've decided to do what I do for friends, for anyone who wants it! Im "open for business"! I'm keeping pricing simple. I will charge a sitting fee and then you can have all the pictures. The fee includes editing of 10-20 of the best shots, any clothing changes, even different locations. Im flexible! I can also send the photos to be printed for you, and Ill only charge what it costs me! Or, you can have prints made on your own! I will travel to anywhere, but outside of York County, I may charge a small fee for mileage!
